Tarrytown Residence #3
2002 - 2004 - Austin, Texas
The redesign of an existing 1940's shoe-box, a typical postwar structure that was clad with asbestos shingles and marginally built, entailed the complete rehabilitation and reconfiguration of all the existing systems and the addition of a Master Suite in the trees. Landscape development included enclosing privacy walls in both stucco and etched glass panels, a poured-in-place concrete fire pit, and a water feature to mask the nearby highway noise.
