Curl-Crockett House in Hyde Park

- Austin, Texas

The comprehensive reconstruction of this 1893 wood-frame Victorian ran the gamut: complete foundation work (the installation of 47 reinforced concrete drilled piers and the insertion of a steel beam superstructure), the removal, rehabilitation, and re-installation of all existing Long Leaf Pine flooring and trim (both interior and exterior), two additions connected by Ipe and Massaranduba decks, and extensive rehabilitation of all architectural components. Where necessary, new exterior columns, spindles and rail system components, exterior decking and (interior and exterior) trim were duplicated from recycled Long Leaf Pine to match the profiles of the original.
