Central District Residence
1991 - 1993 - Seattle, Washington
The redesign and rebuilding of an existing 1880's shack was occasioned by a fire; specifically tailored to the client's interests, this reconfiguration comprehensively upgraded the existing structural and mechanical systems, added decks and a Master Suite, and totally rehabilitated the remaining structure. Also constructed was an artist's studio, and the rehabilitation of an extant 1930's Japanese garden and pond, both of which were saved from the conflagration.
